Rideau Chorale ends our Tenth Anniversary Season with Solace & Solidarity – featuring Duruflé’s Requiem and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms.

Duruflé’s post WWII piece draws on Gregorian chants woven into lush harmonies and focuses on humanity’s grief, consolation, and the search for eternal peace. Bernstein awakens listeners through dissonance, but ultimately leads them through luminous harmonies to the importance of unity.

Rideau Chorale, directed by Kevin Reeves, is joined by Matthew Larkin (organ), Sonya Sweeney (mezzo) a talented local treble, Michelle Gott (harp), and Zac Pulak (percussion).
