Ottawa ChamberFest Prime Time: Joanna G’froerer & Michelle Gott

NACO principal flutist Joanna G’froerer and acclaimed harpist Michelle Gott present an afternoon of captivating music shaped by folk and traditional influences. Their programme features evocative duos for flute and harp, from Persichetti’s Serenade No. 10 to Baker’s Intermezzo, rich with pentatonic colour and gamelan-inspired rhythms. The concert closes with Ravi Shankar’s L’aube enchantée, a mesmerizing fusion of Indian raga and Western classical flute. G’froerer and Gott weave a vibrant tapestry of cultural timbres in this unique musical journey.
