I am hosting a virtual weekend retreat through my project, HarpSparks, on the neuroscience of practicing with guest speaker Dr. Molly Gebrian.
Through the lens of brain research, Dr. Gebrian offers fascinating and immediately applicable insight for musicians on improving practice methods, memory techniques, and performance. Dr. Gebrian currently teaches courses on practicing at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Her book, Learn Faster, Perform Better: A Musician’s Guide to the Neuroscience of Practicing, was published by Oxford University Press in 2024.
